Box Elder Northern Lights Well & Reservoir

Box Elder, SD

In 2013, the City of Box Elder contracted with Advanced Design to prepare plans and specifications for a new well and reservoir.  The Northern Lights Reservoir and Well are located in the southwestern portion of Box Elder, near the Northern Lights development.  Design aspects include site layouts for the new well, well house, and 1.5 million gallon reservoir. Other project requirements include approximately 1,600 feet of new access road, 2,300 feet of new 8” and 14” water mains, and associated water main appurtenances.  The project was completed in April 2016.  The project was funded through USDA Rural Development.
